- (1 sc, inc) around (18) 5โ6. sc around (18)
Flatten the wing and sew the opening closed, then sew to the side of the body angled slightly backward.
Ears / Tufts (make 2)
Chain 6, sc in 2nd chain from hook and across, fasten off leaving a tail for sewing. Sew two small triangular tufts to the top of the head.
Beak
Chain 4, join in a ring, sc twice around, fasten off. Sew a small triangle of contrast yarn between the eyes.
Finishing
Embroider small feather details on the belly with a contrast thread if desired. Weave in all ends and fluff the yarn gently.
Tip: safety eyes placed close together and high on the head give this owl a much more "surprised" and endearing expression โ try a few placements before gluing or locking them in.
