Crochet Baby Beanie Pattern (Easy Newborn Hat)

Sizing Guide

• Newborn: work through round 6, then straight rounds until 4 inches tall
• 0-3 months: work through round 7, then straight rounds until 4.5 inches tall
• 3-6 months: work through round 8, then straight rounds until 5 inches tall

Once you reach the appropriate stitch count for your size, stop increasing and work even rounds of sc without further shaping until the hat reaches the desired height (see sizing guide above).

Brim (optional)

For a folded brim look, work the last 1-2 inches in front-post/back-post double crochet ribbing instead of plain sc, which naturally curls into a snug, stretchy fold.

Finishing

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Weave in all ends. Add a small crocheted flower, bow, or pom-pom to the top or side if desired.
