Crochet Black Cat Pattern (Easy Amigurumi Halloween Cat)

This little black cat is worked in simple pieces and assembled at the end, with an optional arched-back pose for extra Halloween spookiness. A sweet, quick decoration for the season.

Legs (make 4)

Fasten off, leaving a tail. Lightly stuff and sew two to the front of the body and two to the back, positioning the front legs slightly forward for a seated pose.

Tail

Chain 12, then sc in 2nd chain from hook and across. If you want an arched, upright tail, insert a pipe cleaner into the crocheted tube before sewing the end closed, then bend into a curved shape before attaching to the back of the body.

Finishing

Embroider a small pink nose and a simple curved mouth. Weave in all ends. Pose the tail and ears for a playful or spooky expression, depending on your preference.

Tip: positioning the ears close together and slightly forward gives the cat a more alert, "Halloween spooked" expression, while spreading them apart gives a calmer look.
